RETURNS, WARRANTY & SHIPPING POLICIES
Here at ALTAVETERINARY.COM, we understand how important return options are to the consumer. Our return policy is very simple. You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item). We will not pay the return shipping costs if you wish to return your product because you no longer need it.
Special orders and custom merchandise may not be returnable or may be subject to a restocking fee of 20%.
Please inspect your products upon arrival. Any damage to products also due to shipping must be immediately reported, if you fail to inform us of any damage item upon arrival within 48 hours, a full refund will not be given.
You should expect to receive your refund within four (4) weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases, you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, please Contact Us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond quickly with instructions for how to return items from your order.
Items not returned within 30 days are subject to a 20% restocking fee. On exchanges, an additional shipping fee will be incurred. All returned items should still have the appropriate tags and be in new condition, meaning that items should not have marks of use or dirt, if the product being returned does not meet these conditions, we will be unable to process the return.
A full refund, minus shipping and handling will follow after the return of the items in resalable condition. Replacements will be forwarded strictly after the products have been returned and have been inspected by us. If the replacement item is not in stock, it will be ordered in from our supplier. Wait times may apply. Please return the items via registered, trackable and insured post only.
The company will repair or replace any of the two Readers (PT160 Reader or the Global Pocket Reader), that upon arrival are found damaged, or not working properly, after return to and examination by Alta Veterinary is processed and approved. The warranty for these readers is available to the original purchaser only, for (1) one year from the date of purchase. The warranty does not cover misused, carelessly handled products, accidents or products used for unintended purposes.
The determination as to whether a product is defective, or is not defective, is determined solely by Alta Veterinary. Products damaged due to actions by the animal, or your use ARE NOT covered by our warranty.
Items must be clean and secured prior shipping. If at all possible, a copy of your receipt/invoice should also be included in the package.
Shipping to return a product to Alta Veterinary, for defective determination, is borne by the purchaser. Alta Veterinary will only cover return shipping cost for the items (PT160 Reader or the Global Pocket Reader) that are deemed defective by the manufacturer and are under warranty, in the USA continental only.
Any other products offered in the website do not have a warranty; you could ask for a full refund if your request meets the return policy mentioned above.
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
We’ll calculate the shipping cost for you based on box size, product weight, and shipping method.
